Narthex operates a range of activities which may be adapted and restructured as needs and funding permit but our aim always remains – to provide for the most vulnerable and isolated members of society, offering support that addresses deprivation and disadvantage and improves quality of life – helping hands!

Activities

Narthex Sparkhill is based in two main locations, the central hub of The Charity in St John’s Church, Sparkhill in which the Resources Centre is located and the Narthex Support & Advice Centre (often known as The Foodbank) based in Tyseley. From these locations six main areas of service are delivered – explore the links for more detail.

Foodbank – Operated out of the Narthex Support & Advice Centre at Tyseley and satellite locations in south-east Birmingham.

Clothes Bank – Operated primarily out of the Narthex Support & Advice Centre at Tyseley

Resources – Operated out of the Resource Centre at St John’s Church, Sparkhill.

Money & Debt AdviceOperated mostly by phone or online.

This map gives a general picture of how services are delivered through the satellite locations. It is subject to change, in particular Money and Debt Advice is mostly given by appointment on the telephone or online, though a money advice drop-in operates at Tyseley on Wednesdays.
