Support for Seniors

Ageing Better – Parish Nurse – Carer Support

Ageing Better provides activities which support people aged over 50 who are experiencing or are at risk of social isolation and loneliness, so that they can lead more fulfilling lives, and be better connected to their communities. Funding for this work has been provided by Ageing Better, a national, lottery-funded project seeking to improve the lives of people aged over 50, in partnership with local charities. One such partnership is the East Birmingham Collective of which Narthex is a member.

Our Parish Nurse is a registered nurse, supporting people in our communities. Our nurse supports people across most of our projects through health advice, blood tests, caring for seniors and advising on other worries and concerns. For more information about Parish Nursing phone: 07988 742380.

Carer Support as its name implies seeks to support those in a caring role or with caring responsibilities, by connecting them with other support organisation and networks. This work has been funded by Forward Carers.
